Certificates of Origin

Do you ship goods internationally? If so, you might find yourself in need of a Certificate of Origin. A Certificate of Origin is a document required by some foreign governments, which proves in which country the good was manufactured. In order to be acceptable, the Certificate of Origin must be signed by the exporter and then validated by a locally designated agency, such as the Wilmington-Clinton County Chamber of Commerce.

The Chamber will only issue certificates for goods made in the United States during business hours (Monday – Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm EST).

How to receive your Certificate of Origin

  1. Sign and return the Letter Of Indemnity (pdf)

  2. Download the Certificate of Origin form (pdf). Please edit the form directly rather than printing the form and filling it out by hand. If you are unable to download the form, please call our office at 937-382-2737.

  3. Email the completed form to coo@wccchamber.com

  4. The Wilmington-Clinton County Chamber of Commerce will return a stamped electronic PDF of the Certificate of Origin within 2 business days of receipt unless a rush job is requested via email.

  5. For a Wilmington-Clinton County Chamber member in good standing, each Certificate of Origin is $10. For a non-Wilmington-Clinton County Chamber member, each Certificate of Origin is $40. (Not a member? Learn more about becoming one here!). Rush jobs required within four (4) hours of submission will be charged an additional $10.

  6. The Chamber will invoice your business monthly for Certificates of Origin.

  7. By submission of your Certificate of Origin to the Wilmington-Clinton County Chamber of Commerce (WCCCC), your organization releases the WCCCC from any and all liability. The WCCCC can only verify what the signee has presented as true and reliable. If the signee has falsified the origin of the goods made, WCCCC cannot be held responsible in any lawsuit.  No further vetting has occurred.
